We are currently focused on to bring in a strategic approach to Emergency Services by collaborating with highly engaged stakeholders to provide actionable opportunities and solutions to the needs of the community.
The strength of our organization is based on the commitment to excellence from the men and women of our Department. We continuously strive to provide professional, compassion, and respect to residents, businesses and visitors within our territory. We are passionate about emergency services management to fully contribute and improve the well-being of the community.
The primary objectives undertaken are to deliver life safety, property protection, injury prevention and emergency mitigation through public education, prevention initiatives, and emergency response.

Mission
The mission of the Cree Nation of Mistissini Fire Department is to serve the community by protecting life, property and the environment through prevention, education, and immediate professional response to emergencies.
The Public Safety Division also has a vital role in providing public safety services in our community. The key roles delivered are emergency measures planning, developing emergency management plans, by-law enforcement (animal control), and prevention programs geared at promoting awareness such as; ice/water safety, boating safety, gun safety, etc.
We are extremely proud of our firefighters and all permanent personnel for their accomplishments. We are a vibrant department that values each member. Local Emergency Planning Committee
We had initiated on establishing a local Emergency Planning Committee to implement our community Emergency Measures Plan. The committee will be responsible to coordinate wide-scale emergencies such as evacuation from wildland fires, long-term power outage, severe weather storms etc.
