MAINTENANCE WORKMAN CLASS II POSTING VMS – 723 MISTISSINI – VOYAGEUR MEMORIAL SCHOOL *********************************************

NATURE OF THE WORK

The Principal and customary work of the employee in this class involves the carrying out of physical and preventive maintenance housework of grounds, buildings, equipment and minor repair duties. It also involves the handling and transportation of merchandise, furniture and other material, in accordance with the instructions of maintenance workman of a higher class, a foreman or a qualified workman and generally under the supervision of one of them.

CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS

The employee in this class of employment performs tasks to keep the premises and equipment clean and orderly, but may perform, if need be, other related tasks.

As for the cleanliness of the premises, the employee generally carries out tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, washing, stripping & waxing, as needed floors & steps, washing walls and ceilings, dusting furniture and surfaces.

He or she uses, stores and disposes of various products required in carrying out his or her duties in a safe manner, while respecting standards.

If need be, he or she performs any other related duty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Drivers’ License would be an asset

Starting date: August 24, 2020

Salary: $ 19.37

Northern allowance: $ 8,484.00 Single rate $ 13,573.00 Dependent rate

Evening premium: $ 0.72
